The Lancia Stratos is one of those cars.

This project follows the complete build of a Lister Bell Stratos replica, from a collection of components and a very ambitious plan through fabrication, assembly, finishing and finally getting the car onto the road.

At the heart of the build is an Alfa Romeo Busso V6, surrounded by the custom fabrication, engineering, problem solving and countless small details needed to turn a kit into something that feels like a proper car rather than simply a collection of parts. Along the way there are plenty of challenges, modifications and decisions that inevitably come with building a car like this yourself.

The original Lancia Stratos was one of the most iconic rally cars ever built. This isn't an attempt to recreate one bolt for bolt, but a modern interpretation inspired by that extraordinary shape and the spirit of the original. The goal is to create something that looks the part, sounds the part and, most importantly, is built to be driven.

From the first stages of construction to the final finishing touches, this is the story of turning a Lister Bell kit into a Stratos replica — and one of the most ambitious four-wheeled projects at Tink Customs.
