Kawasaki KZ650 | Rear Wheel Bearings & Brake Drum Restoration

The 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 Cafe Racer gets attention at the rear end as we remove the rear wheel, inspect the wheel bearings and brake drum, and prepare components for restoration.

The rear wheel comes off so we can get to the brake drum and shoes, rear sprocket and wheel bearings. We also look at the foot peg setup and continue preparing the engine and frame with more painting and refinishing work.

The rear wheel and brake assembly are an important part of getting the KZ650 ready for the road, and this stage of the build starts bringing the original rear end back into shape while preparing it for the finished cafe racer.
