Kawasaki KZ650 Pod Filters & Custom Foot Pegs | Cafe Racer

The 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 Cafe Racer gets pod air filters and custom billet aluminum foot pegs as we continue refining the bike's performance, controls and cafe racer styling.

We fit pod filters to the KZ650's carburetors as a cleaner alternative to the original airbox setup, giving the engine a more open intake arrangement. The rear foot peg setup also gets a complete makeover, using custom billet aluminum pegs together with a selection of adapters and brackets to get everything positioned correctly on the modified bike.

Along the way we continue putting the KZ650 back together, including more engine painting, fitting the new rear sprocket and installing the custom cafe racer seat. The new foot pegs and pod filters are small changes individually, but together they help give the finished KZ650 a much more purposeful custom look.
