Custom Seat & LED Rear Light | Cafe Racer

The 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 Cafe Racer gets its custom seat and tail piece fitted to the modified rear frame, along with a completely custom LED rear light installation.

The custom cafe racer seat and modified tail piece are mounted to the shortened rear frame, with the rear light requiring its own custom mounting arrangement to fit neatly into the tail section. The light housing itself is made from an unexpected source — the air filter frame from a Suzuki GS550.

We also work through the Kawasaki KZ650 wiring diagram and fuse box panel before wiring and testing the new rear LED light. Once everything is mounted and connected, the light is tested to make sure the custom installation is working correctly.

It's another example of the one-off fabrication and recycled parts that have become a big part of this KZ650 cafe racer build.
