Kawasaki KZ650 Custom LED Tail Light

The 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 Cafe Racer gets a custom rear LED tail light as the build continues, along with new rear shocks, exhaust modifications, carburetor work and several smaller upgrades.

The custom rear light uses a Suzuki GS550 air filter to create a unique housing for the LED brake light, following a similar idea used on another Tink Customs build. We also look at the foot pegs and possible replacements, throttle twist grip and cables, oil filter and some paintwork on the carburetor and air filter pods.

The exhaust system gets another round of attention after sourcing new connectors from the UK, allowing us to plan the removal of everything except the down pipes. New rear shock absorbers also arrive ready to fit, moving the KZ650 another step closer to its finished cafe racer setup.
