Making A Custom Motorcycle Exhaust

The 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 Cafe Racer gets a closer look at its exhaust system as we remove the original headers, test fit custom tail pipes and assess what needs to be refurbished or replaced.

The original exhaust isn't in the best condition, so we look at sourcing new Y connectors and mufflers while cleaning up the existing clamps and spacer rings. We also refurbish the original enamel tank badges, prime the side panels and test some paint as the KZ650 moves closer to its new finish.
