Honda CB750 Cafe Racer | Custom Seat & Fitting Rearsets

The 1979 Honda CB750 Cafe Racer build moves on to some of the parts that really start to define the finished bike. In this episode, we work on the cafe racer seat, make a template for a completely custom alternative, and start getting the rear of the bike properly sorted.

Fitting the Cafe Racer Seat

After checking the fit of the first cafe racer seat, we look at some other custom seat possibilities before making a template for a totally custom seat. There's also some work going on underneath the seat, including the electrical tray.

Installing the Rearsets

With the seat area taking shape, attention turns to the rearsets. We fit the rearset mounts, install the rear brake caliper and fit both the brake and gearshift foot pegs. The final job is adjusting the gearshift rod so the controls are positioned correctly.

It's another step towards turning this 1979 Honda CB750 into the finished custom cafe racer.
