Firing Up The Monster Cafe Racer

The Ducati Monster 695 café racer gets its first start after major custom motorcycle electrical work, including relocated ignition coils, new HT ignition leads and custom handlebar switches. After all the rewiring and modifications, it's time to fire up the Ducati Monster and see if everything works.

The custom lockable and momentary handlebar switches are now fitted and functioning correctly, while more of the original wiring harness is removed and rerouted to keep the finished café racer cleaner.

The ignition coils and leads are tested as the Monster is started after its electrical makeover. There's also more work on the motorcycle lighting, including the custom LED rear light and LED headlights.

Not everything goes perfectly, though, with the freshly painted exhaust suffering some paint fade. And in a bonus bit of Italian motorcycle action, the MV Agusta 750 F4 gets fired up again too. This is an important milestone in the Ducati Monster 695 café racer build as the custom motorcycle project gets closer to completion.
