BMW K75 Cafe Racer Frame Chop | Custom Tail & Seat

This is one of the major turning points in the BMW K75 cafe racer build. The bulky factory rear end is about to disappear as the rear frame is chopped and the foundations of a much cleaner custom tail section are put in place.

Rather than simply cutting the frame away and starting from scratch, the removed section is also considered for reuse as the build develops. A custom cafe racer seat and LED tail light are introduced, with further modifications made to get the seat sitting correctly on the shortened frame.

There's plenty of fabrication and fettling involved, including adapting the rear subframe and adjusting the rearset gear linkage to work with the changing geometry.

The engine also gets some attention with cleaning and paint, while different tail section ideas are tested to work out exactly how the finished BMW K75 should look.
